The MSME Awareness Program, organized by eCell MSIT under Dr. Neeru Rathee's guidance, aimed to highlight MSME's role in promoting SC/ST entrepreneurs. Held on 28th November 2024 at Seminar Hall 206, the event covered topics like UDYAM registration, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the Cluster Development Program, and regional development challenges. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Sunil Kumar, Director of MSME, Dr. Rajpal Solanki, Legal Advisor at Surajmal Memorial Society, Shri Bhanu Pratap, Chief Manager at the State Bank of India, and R.K. Bharti, Joint Director at the Ministry of MSME. The session also shared details about state and central schemes for SC/ST entrepreneurs.

• Introduction : An enlightening event on MSME Entrepreneur awareness program and government schemes for entrepreneurs was successfully conducted on 28th November 2024 at seminar hall 206. The session aimed to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and inform participants about various government schemes designed to support SC/ST and weaker section entrepreneurs.
• INTRODUCTORY SPEECH BY DIRECTOR OF MSIT : Dr. Archana Balyan, Director of MSIT, expressed her honor in inviting participants to the MSME Entrepreneurship workshop, designed specifically for SC/ST entrepreneurs. She highlighted the seminar's value in providing entrepreneurial insights and thanked the Ecell Society for its smooth execution. Dr. Balyan emphasized that the esteemed presence of experts would inspire participants and offer valuable guidance to enhance their entrepreneurial journey.
• ABOUT THE EVENT: In his introduction, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma highlighted the significance of economic growth ,fostering innovation , and addressed societal challenges He also gave some tips on how to start your own business and become an entrepreneur. He discussed the meaning of MSME and how it promotes micro and small scale entrepreneurs. Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma concluded the speech and handed it over to Dr. Rajkumar Solanki. Dr. Rajkumar Solanki interacted with students and stakeholders to discuss the entrepreneurship opportunities and highlighted the importance of being job providers instead of being job seekers or hunters. He also informed us about the installation of an incubation chamber in our institute.
• Dr. Rajpal Solanki concluded the speech and passed the spotlight to Dr. S. S Solanki. In his introductory speech, he highlighted the importance of MSME and role of entrepreneurs in the development of a nation. An entrepreneur is an individual who creates ,organizes and manages a business or enterprise with the goal of earning profit. Entrepreneurs also promote regional development. He also talked about the constraints and conditions of an entrepreneur. At last Mr. Tufail Ahmed and Mr. Prakash Chand Meena gave brief information about various National SC/ST Scheme, Stand Up Scheme(for SC/ST and women entrepreneurs).

Conclusion:

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Neeru Rathee, who expressed her sincere appreciation to the speakers, participants, and organizers for their valuable contributions in making the event a success. The session proved to be both inspiring and informative, leaving attendees with a deeper understanding of the opportunities available to them as aspiring entrepreneurs.

Study Abroad Seminar 2024-25:

The seminar starts with a brief introduction of the key points. Dr. Bill starts with a few general questions that make the session more interactive. The session highlights the importance of living in a pollution-free environment and talks about the current situation of our country and this world. He then talks about the air quality issue in India specifically. He selects historical events from all across the world such as the “Bhopal Gas Tragedy”, “Chernobyl incident of USSR” etc. He then proceeds to talk about the air quality background. The next segment is about “The Planetary Boundary Layer” and he further elaborates on plume types and behaviors and emission inventories.

The Introduction : The webinar began with an introductory speech by Nandini Gangwar who welcomed the speaker and the members. She then went on to briefly introduce the topic of the webinar and handed over the initiative to the speaker Ms Pooja Sood. 2. What are patents and copyrights: The speaker then commences the webinar by introducing patents and copyrights and helps understand how they are protected in India . She then goes on to briefly discuss about patents and copyrights and how these help safeguard inventions and ideas. 3. Who will benefit from patents and copyrights: She then elaborates on their importance and why ,people who are keen to publicize their ideas , inventions and startups should opt for this practice to ensure that their ideas aren't misused and used in the right sectors. The next segment of the meeting dealt with the formulation of these patents and how to apply for their implementation. 4. Benefits of patent and copyrights: The later segments of the meeting dealt with the need for patents . Ms Pooja Sood went on to speak about the usefulness of these patents and copyrights and why all budding start-up should practice it. She implied that these practices would help their ideas and ensure that their inventions and such are not used for reasons unknown to the owner. 5. Closing of session: The webinar entered it's final segment as the speaker Ms Pooja Sood initiated a QNA session. She encouraged questions of all types and gracefully answered them all while catering to each participant. She then also enquired about the startups initiated by the members in the webinar and emphasized on the use of patents to them as she concluded the webinar.

Then Akanksha Verma gives everyone a brief yet exquisite introduction to eCell MSIT and it's mission to spread the magic of entrepreneurship among the many aspiring students in the college.

2. Introductions to the faculty: The next segment hands over the stage to the dynamic duo of Harita and Riya as the hosts of this auspicious event. They begin by welcoming the audience with bursts of energy and then with a brief introduction to the core team and faculty , beginning with our very own eCell convener Dr Neeru Rathee , followed by Dr Sudesh Pahal, Dr Rakhi Kamra, Dr Shaily Malik, Dr Rakesh chhikara and Dr Sitender Malik, everyone renowned for their hardwork and expertise in their field .

3. Introduction to the core team : Following Ms Neeru Rathee’s excellent speech, the students were introduced to our esteemed and charismatic board members eCell President Shaurya Mishra, Vice President Harshika Drall, and General Secretaries Vanshaj and Mishti who delivered captivating speeches. Their eloquence and charisma enchanted the audience, vividly showcasing the spirit of entrepreneurship and offering an insightful glimpse into the dynamic world of eCell MSIT.

4. Introduction to the incubation department : Then after the brief introduction to the board members , Harita and Riya request the incubation department, one of the most important departments at eCell to introduce themselves. Manandeep Singh and Yash Bagga the vice presidents of the department then grabs the attention of the crowd as they explained their work in a artistic and meme like manner , taking references from a famous show like Shark Tank. Their friendly and straightforward personalites encouraged audience interaction, questions and fun conversations followed.

5. Department speeches : After an attention grabbing explanation by the incubation department, it was time to introduce all the other departments of eCell MSIT like technical , sponsorship, content, design and videography, event management, PR and outreach and publicity. The members were greeted with great applause and cheers , which encouraged them to express themselves in fun and lively manners.

6. Fun activities and the game of songs : What followed after this were the fun games to raise the interaction with the freshers. The most noteworthy being the antakshri, a game to complete a song which caused huge bursts of excitement. The winner of the games were given goodies like shirts and bags by coding blocks . Another incredible and fun game was the quiz related to the entrepreneurial word.

7. The flashlight saga: The final segment of the eCell Orientation was a year old legacy , the flashlight wave. Everyone was excited to be a part of this legacy , waving their flashlights with enthusiasm and while also singing an enginnering classic from the movie 3 idiots, Sunshine .

8.The questionnaire: The audience actively engaged by asking insightful questions, which were promptly and accurately answered. The interaction highlighted the societies’ expertise and the audience's curiosity, contributing to a productive and informative session.

On 8th September,2023, a significant event transpired at Google Meet– the official meeting of the E-Cell, attended by both the Heads and Deputy Heads. The primary agenda of this gathering was to deliberate over the importance of proper report writing with proper format as an entrepreneur to present

Highlights of the Session:

• Agenda Review: A brief overview of the meeting's agenda was deemed important to provide context for the discussions that followed.
• Importance of Reporting: Importance of reports as an entrepreneur and how it’s importance can be seen in the working of E-cell was discussed over.
• Action Items and Responsibilities: Action related to promote proper formats and writing for formal document were deliberated over to improve the quality of formal documents produced by students.
• Event Conclusion URL to Session Post: LinkedIn Event was concluded with everyone understanding the proper format of writing MoMs (Minutes of the Meeting) and reports

Conclusion:

The event promoted importance of proper Report Writing in today’s time as a student and an entrepreneur. Also, steps were initiated to promote it in E-Cell which included proper format for MoM which have to be followed by all the departments with format being floated to all the department heads.

Then after the performance, Harita and Riya request the incubation department, one of the most important departments at eCell to introduce themselves. The next segment was the most enjoyable as it included a year old tradition of eCell that is the torchlight saga that was accompanied by songs played by Vansh to raise everyone's spirits. 7. Alumni speech and fun activities : After an exhilarating performance with songs and torch lights it was time for an informative section . The host of the next segment Yashaswini Narula formally invites our esteemed alumni Karan from kashti adventures to give a speech to introduce himself and his startup that was successfully incubated at eCell MSIT . What followed after this were the fun games to raise the interaction with the freshers. The most noteworthy being the ramp walk by the boys and girls which caused huge bursts of excitement. The winner of the games were decided by an audience vote and many goodies like shirts and bags by coding blocks were also awarded . 8. Coding blocks speech: The final segment of the orientation was introduced by Harita and Riya, who discussed the sponsor, Coding Block. This was followed by a presentation from Coding Block, which marked the conclusion of the event. a part of this legacy , waving their flashlights with enthusiasm and while also singing an enginnering classic from the movie 3 idiots, Sunshine .

Conclusion:

Throughout the orientation, the auditorium was overcrowded by both capacity and joyfulness. An orientation is the most critical part of a society’s reputation and potential scope of expansion which, if done correctly, can lead to unimaginable achievements during the tenure. E-Cell MSIT realized this feature and performed outstandingly to make this a great success and the result was better than the best. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our MSIT Board, our Convener, and all the stakeholders along with the society members for their contribution towards this event. The Incubation Department of Ecell embarked on a remarkable journey to explore the world of “Brand Renaissance: A Rebranding Workshop”. The Workshop organised at the Masters' Union Campus, DLF Cyber Park, was conducted with great professionalism and care which provided the young entrepreneurs with an extraordinary and insightful experience on “Brand Renaissance”.

Highlights of the Session:

• The campus tour: The workshop began with getting the attendees accustomed to the campus to create a sense of familiarity and for the smooth functioning of the events that followed.
• Introduction to "Brand Renaissance": The first segment of the workshop began with the introduction of the speaker, Mr Akhil Chopra, Senior Creative Director at Schbang who introduced to everyone briefly about Rebranding and why it plays an important role in today's industry
• Why rebranding: He explained why rebranding was being implemented in today's market, like the repositioning of a brand/change in mission and vision of the brand or to contemporise and undust the brand in an attempt to adapt to the modern markets and newer customer base. Rebranding is also possible in the case of mergers or in the case of a new leadership as in the case of Burberry.
• How to Rebrand: It was further explained how the rebranding process is to start, that is to primarily understand the need and the purpose for the rebranding. The next step involves the required changes as accepted by the involved company which could include a change in the logo, the brand personality, digital architecture, typography etc. The first segment was then brought to a close for a lunch break.
• Problem analysis: In the next half, after the lunch, the attendees were instructed to form teams of 9 and given a problem statement to Rebrand patanjali. This segment tested the participants on their understanding of rebranding and its implementation and were instructed to present their solution within a 2hr time limit.
• The Result: After every team pitched in their solutions, the speaker Mr Akhil announced the results and our Incubation dept team emerged as the winner with one of the most creative and successful rebranding propagandas. The team members were then rewarded with Amazon gift vouchers as a show of appreciation to their brilliant solution to the problem.

Conclusion:

The workshop offered a transformative and insightful experience on "Brand Renaissance", equipping the involved with the knowledge and tools required to elevate their understanding on Rebranding. From the excellent program management to fun interactions, it provided it all. E-Cell MSIT in collaboration with Newark Research, organized an Interactive Session by Priyam Dhanuka (The Speaker) on " How to get placed in M.A.A.N.G Companies.". Priyam himself is an SDE and a Recruiter in Google California" and formerly worked at Microsoft. His Alma Mater includes NIT Durgapur and the prestigious University of California. The event was a great success with around nearly 100 members from Newark Research and E Cell MSIT and MSI-T audience, with the vibrant aim of fostering innovation among the students. The Speaker shared valuable tips and tricks to crack M.A.A.N.G (Meta, Amazon, Apple Netflix and Google) interviews and advised the attendees to have an Impeccable Academic Record and keep themselves updated with the latest technologies and skills

Highlights of the Session:

• Building a Strong Foundation: The Speaker highlighted the significance of a strong foundation in the desired field. Comprehensive research enables candidates to align their skills with the expectations of international institutions.
• Networking: Networking emerged as a crucial tool as The Speaker emphasized actively engaging with industry professionals and mentors to expand both knowledge and opportunities. LinkedIn is the proven and suggested platform for networking.
• Resume Building: Crafting an impressive CV took centre stage. The Speaker stressed the importance of a succinct CV that not only showcases academic accomplishments but also highlights extracurricular activities and soft skills. • Importance of Personal Statements and Cover Letters: Tailoring personal statements and cover letters for each application is vital. Adapting these documents to resonate with an institution's culture, values, and offerings significantly enhances an applicant's visibility.

June 25, 2020 E-cell MSIT in collaboration with NSS MSI organized a webinar on depression among students and corporates and how tocope depression in real life. The webinar had 100+ attendees from over 8 various colleges. The speaker for the webinar was Ms. Suhasini Raina who is a mental health professional and completed her Masters from TISS, Bombay and is currently a researcher at AIIMS and runs an independent practice. She is a person full of wisdom and enlightened the students with her knowledge on the topic.

The webinar was a 3 hour live stream Which included a session where the attendees were asked to clear their doubts, and to give in their suggestions and reviews. This webinar was summed up with a discussion about steps to overcome this issue.E- cell MSIT felt a need for such an event to provide the students right guidance to lead a happy and cheerful live and to overcome the difficulties of modern day health problems with ease. The webinarbegan at 4:00 p.m and was concludedby 7:00 pm on the same day.

Talk-e-tive

24 July, 2020 On the month of June-July 2020, ECell MSIT started a creative talk show named, Talk(e)Tive, which focused on the encouragement and spreading awareness towards the leadership and entrepreneurship of the most activist amongst the generation. In the show, various entrepreneurs from around the world were collaborated as speakers and invited on the show which was moderated by the ECell Team. This series had awakened and enlightened a perspective to the whole team, the audience and provided us with greater concepts to look upon later. The talk show consisted of 8 episodes, which are briefed below,

EPISODE 1

June 20, 2020 The journey of any student on the look-out for internships, starts with a massive load of enthusiasm and no idea, how to begin? In the first episode of Talk(e)tive, which engrossed over 623 viewers, curiously build-up a beginner's guide for internships, aided by our esteemed guide, Mr. Kushagra Tyagi. Kushagra leads us through his own early ordeal into the world of internships, that will resonate with anyone who's ever searched "internships near me" on google. But in order for one to fly, a person needs to have a clear sky, this being MSIT's complacent professors and management, who not only nudged but went out of their way to help Kushagra reach the heights he's at. Cumulating all his skill and experience Kushagra laid down his own startup "idea panda".

June 24, 2020 In our second episode 345 viewers join in to get to know about the enthralling and adventurous journey of a guy from Tier 2 engineering college who went on to give a TED talk at one of the top DU college. E- cell MSIT introduces you to a Tech-geek and our proud alumnus Utkarsh Kumar Singh(IEEE ExeCom 2018-19) whose projects contributed a lot to the Technology labs. June 27, 2020 "There are no stupid questions just stupid answers" On the third addition to the talk(e)tive series we dive in discussion along 375 viewers with a YouTuber who believes “ideas sab ke pass almost same hi hote hai, the difference lies in execution” with a reach of 90k subs, we present to you Mr. Vedant Rusty. He talks talk about his youtube journey and productivity tips. It is an enriching experience to talk with someone who enlighten's the people with his life experiences and renders a support system to the ones yearning for the chances and inspiration.

July 01, 2020 As we move on to the 4th episode of Talk(e)Tive, with a whopping 1477 viewers, we welcome Mr Hitesh Choudhary, “a teacher who loves to write code”, we are honoured to present our speaker, who is a figure of positive difference, a dedicated and passionate educator. A YouTuber who writes code for web applications and mobile apps. A person with strong outlook for the greater cause and undeniable approach towards the growth and development in the technical fields, rendering motivation and resources to the ones who seek wisdom. He is a successful young Entrepreneur and Achiever on various national and international platforms. He has been invited to speak and give guest lectures at 150+ institutions globally. Experience his inspiring journey from being a bullied child to becoming one of the youngest nominees for Padma Shri Award. He has won many prestigious awards for his work. His organisation is a leading member based network handholding various early stage startups. We witnessed his vibrant personality and his knowledge expertise.

Her book 'And She Quit Her Job' has remained highly popular amongst millennial’s. July 22, 2020 As one of our previous host quoted, “MSITians should grab every opportunity and make big out of it”, We releases the final episode of Talk(e)Tive , with one of our OWN, Mr Abhishek Sansanwal, a GSOC’19 scholar from MSIT, who mentored thousands of students for tech & entrepreneurship skills. The founder and CEO of ‘VERVED’ and the creator of ‘Verved edprogram’. One of the top 50 tech leaders and the Most Influential Indian with a YouTube channel of 0.001 m+ subscribers. This broadcast covered around 178 viewers. The talk show had its finale on the 22nd July 2020, and affected all of us as a beneficiary movement, to which the hard-work of the whole crew was involved, and left the audience inspired and encouraged for further events organized by ECell MSIT.

Faculty Development Program--GST using Tally

June 8, 2020 Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. organized a Faculty Development Program that covered concepts of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its Business Applications using Tally. This FDP was brought and introduced to MSIT by eCell. The webinar had 350 attendees from over 8 various colleges.

It is a group company and an education initiative of Tally Solutions, the makers of the popular Tally software. It is the only entity authorised to issue certifications on Computerized Accounting and on Tally. It has been incorporated with a vision to enable businesses to manage their manpower requirements by offering simple and easy solutions to find suitable skilled resources for their businesses.

The webinar was constructed in a continuous set up to retain the maximum and foster the proficiency in the concepts of GST. In the beginning, fundamentals of GST and its practical was discussed, following indirect taxation revolution since our independence. It pondered the fact that GST is one tax, one nation, one market. Later on, the tax structure outlining taxes or goods subsumed/omitted under GST were clarified. Determination of GST (CGST, SGST, IGST) and the comparison of tax scenario under pre-GST and GST were explained after.

The Faculty Development Program was a 3 hour live stream conducted by Mr Bijay from Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. Which included a session where the attendees were asked to clear their doubts, and to give in their suggestions and reviews. This webinar was summed up with a discussion on the existing dealer registrations, conditions and composition schemes. eCell MSIT felt a need for such an event to provide the budding entrepreneurs a fair chance and opportunity to get to know the legal stuff which plays a significant role in entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial 101 with Razi Abbas

We the Ecell MSIT collaborated with Razi Abbas, an esteemed entrepreneur, to share his own experience with us to help us gain some much needed perspective. Razi Abbas is the confounder of two startups Ideotic and First main. He has 7 years of industry experience with some big names like goldman sachs. The session began around 5:45 pm with about 50-55 participants and ended around 8pm. Mr. Razi enlightened us with his own experience by sharing his debacles giving us a realistic look into the world of entrepreneurship. He empathised with the hardship of starting a startup and helped us learn from his own experience. He addressed the new "normal" and told us about how he's contributing his bit to the society as an entrepreneur. Freebies were given to those who were interacting the most which made the session more engaging and fun.

August 01, 2020 ECell MSIT organiseda webinar that focused on “Leveraging ideas to form a Start-Up” which crossed over 50 attendees from various colleges. The webinar was conducted bySaurabh Trivedi, who is the co-founder and director of Boudhik Ventures, an entrepreneur, business consultant, investor and property enthusiast. This session gave an opportunity to revamp start-up ideas and instil practical approach in entrepreneurial journey with the help of an insightful webinar on transforming innovative ideas to practical companies and keeping up with futuristic trends.

This digital experience provided a step-by-step approach to envision start-up and enhance business acumen. The session was informative and subjective, where attendees gained a lot of knowledge and inspiration. Mr Saurabh Trivedi, entertained every type of question and doubt that were developed by the students. It was a very interactive session.
