E-Summit being the flagship event of E-Cell MSIT is held annually. It brings together the academic community, venture capitalists. new age entrepreneurs and all those passionate about entrepreneurship to common grounds. It provides early entrepreneurs the opportunity to be inclined towards entrepreneurship and take and manage bigger risks through various online events and workshops. The annual Entrepreneurship Summit, conducted by E-Cell MSIT has been one of the major and successful events at MSIT. The event includes competitions and an Internship fair. We have various guest speakers from vivid backgrounds on board who share their priceless knowledge with us.

DAY-1

• Inauguration : The inauguration ceremony was held in the Auditorium and was hosted by Aryan Mehta (Vice President, E-Cell MSIT) who welcomed the guest of honour Dr. Javed Ahmed (Chairperson ISTE Delhi Section), chief guest Dr. N.K. Gupta, (Executive Council Member, ISTE) and Prof (Dr.) H.S. Rawat (director placement, SMES), Dr. Neeru Rathee (Convenor E-Cell MSIT). The special guests and the director gave their invaluable thoughts and inaugurated the event. The Auditorium was filled with excitement as the E-Cell team marked the commencement of the event.
• B-Plan Competition : This event was held in Room 206, where the participants from various universities came to pitch their ideas to the panel of judges. The judges had a QnA with the participants based on their pitches and provided knowledgeable information to the students. Overall the event was a success with a great learning experience for all.
• Panel Discussion on Building Distribution through Content : The B-Plan competition was followed by a panel discussion on Building Distribution through content. In this event the special guest Bhanu Pathak (A finance content creator) guided the students on Building their own content and gave some advice on how to go about such carrier.
• 'Spit Fire' - A Rap Battle In this event we collaborated with Octave - the music society and had an amazing music show. The venue for this event was MSIT ground where we had amazing performances which included beatboxing as well as rap battles. The event was very interesting and fun for the students.
• End of Day 1 The first day ended with a blast as the students had a lot of fun with the event. The event was a success and all the students and faculty appreciated the efforts and the hard work of the team.

DAY-2

• Ribbon Cutting and Commencement of Day 2 : The 2nd day began with an interesting musical performance for the students. This event was held in the Auditorium. The students resonated with the music and had an amazing time. The Host Aryan Mehta kept the students entertained and built up the excitement for Day-2.
• Panel Discussion with Mr. Vedant Rusty : After some amazing musical performances, the students welcomed the esteemed Content Creator and the host of "Stories with Rusty" - Mr. Vedant Rusty. He provided valuable insight on the topic Distribution through Content and helped the students to get into the world of content creation. It was followed up by a doubt and advice session from Mr. Vedant who answered the students doubts one by one and held an amazing session.
• Case Clash Competition : The E-Cell collaborated with Melius: The Consulting and Analytics Club to organize a mind-twisting and insightful case study competition called "Case Clash Competition". The competition witnessed participation from some of the top prestigious colleges in India. Participants were presented with challenging case studies that required analytics and critical thinking skills to provide solutions. It was a fiercely competitive event, providing an excellent platform for students to showcase their talent and expertise in solving real-world business problems.

Conclusion:

The two-day event was a huge success, bringing together students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and experts in various fields. From the inauguration ceremony to the B-Plan competition, panel discussions, and musical performances, there was never a dull moment. Students gained valuable insights from the experts and had a chance to showcase their ideas and talents.

Start-up Expo:

The Start-up Expo was a dynamic event that brought together a wide range of established start-ups to showcase their products and services. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with the start-up teams and explore potential partnerships. The event was a hub of entrepreneurial activity, providing a platform for start-ups to gain exposure and connect with potential customers and investors. Overall, it was a great success. There were many stalls, that were of start-ups, and were visited by Venture Capitalists. There stalls caught attention of the VCs and they were cordially invited to have a personal meeting with the VCs to discuss more about their business and development.

On 5th May 2023, E-cell MSIT organized a competition testing the brand knowledge of the participants. The session commenced at 12pm on google meet with the host Kunal who welcomed the participants and explained the rules. The competition consisted of 2 rounds both of which tested the participants' brand knowledge.

The event had a participation of around 45 students from various branches, all of whom competed to showcase their command over brand logos and taglines.

Round 1 consisted of 20 questions and was held in Typeform where participants had to guess the company from the logo/ taglines. The questions tested the participants' knowledge about various logos and taglines from various companies and brands. Teams that answered the maximum number of questions in the least time went through to round 2.

Round 2 was hosted by Manandeep and Harshika, who introduced the participants to the rules for this round. In this round the participants had to find out the company/brand from old indian tv ads. This round tested the participants memory of older famous television ads while also providing the feeling of nostalgia. After guessing the brand, the players had to message their answers and whichever team that answered the most amount of questions in the least time won the competition.

The event provided players a chance to showcase their knowledge about various brands and companies while also testing their speed and accuracy. The event concluded at 3pm with the end of round 2. In conclusion, the event was a success with great participation and was a learning experience for everyone

The educational visit to the FITT Research Centre, IIT Delhi, was organized by the E-Cell in collaboration with the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT). The aim was to provide students with exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem at IIT Delhi and showcase the various initiatives and opportunities available for innovation and technology transfer. The visit was accompanied by 20+ students of our society and was organised under the guidance and presence of our convener, Dr. Neeru Rathi and Dr. Sudesh Pahal.

Highlights of the Session:

• Seminar:
  • FITT organized a seminar in their auditorium, where they introduced a five-day entrepreneurial bootcamp.
  • The bootcamp is designed to assist participants in transforming their research-stage ideas into minimum viable products.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a group of investors, providing potential funding prospects and working space in IIT Delhi.
• Research Facility Tour:
  • The facility showcased advanced infrastructure and equipment supporting innovative research and development projects.
  • Students had the opportunity to witness diverse projects and technologies being developed at IIT Delhi.
• Start-up Introductions:
  • Students were introduced to five tech and innovative start-ups operating within IIT Delhi.
  • The start-ups included SurfaceMoto, Tsaw, mPragati, and Dash Dynamics .
  • Students interacted with the CEOs and founders of these start-ups, gaining valuable insights into their entrepreneurial journeys and experience
  • Some start-ups also offered internship opportunities to interested students, facilitating industry-academia collaboration.

Conclusion:

The educational visit to the FITT Research Centre, IIT Delhi, was highly successful in achieving its objectives. The seminar, research facility tour, and interactions with start-ups provided students with valuable knowledge, networking opportunities, and potential internships. The visit showcased the strong entrepreneurial ecosystem at IIT Delhi and highlighted the support available for innovation and technology transfer. The E-Cell MSIT recently organized an enlightening session on securing international internships with President of E-Cell, Drishti Pandita, as the speaker sharing her experience. The session was held on 28th August’ 23 (Monday) in the Incubation Room of MSIT and was attended by 12 members. Drawing from her experience, Drishti provided invaluable insights to the attendees into enhancing profiles and acquiring prestigious global internships.

• Building Strong Foundation: She highlighted the significance of a strong foundation in the desired field. Comprehensive research enables candidates to align their skills with the expectations of international institutions.

On 8th September,2023, a significant event transpired at Google Meet– the official meeting of the E-Cell, attended by both the Heads and Deputy Heads. The primary agenda of this gathering was to deliberate over the importance of proper report writing with proper format as an entrepreneur to present

Highlights of the Session:

• Agenda Review: A brief overview of the meeting's agenda was deemed important to provide context for the discussions that followed.
• Importance of Reporting: Importance of reports as an entrepreneur and how it’s importance can be seen in the working of E-cell was discussed over.
• Action Items and Responsibilities: Action related to promote proper formats and writing for formal document were deliberated over to improve the quality of formal documents produced by students.

Conclusion:

The event promoted importance of proper Report Writing in today’s time as a student and an entrepreneur. Also, steps were initiated to promote it in E-Cell which included proper format for MoM which have to be followed by all the departments with format being floated to all the department heads.

e-Cell MSIT organized the official society orientation, for the esteemed freshers joining us from the year 2023-24, in the MSI(T) Auditorium and was attended by more than 500 freshers. The orientation is an annual event held by every society to persuade students from new and existing batches to become a part of the society and work towards their career and societal progress. Orientation is also a medium to declare vacancy of members in the society. The e Cell’s orientation provided students with enlightenment about the college life at the very start of their academic tenures.

Highlights of the Session:

• The program was commenced way before the arrival of the freshers in the auditorium. All the society members gathered at 8:30 am in the morning to start their preparations and drills to conduct the event with immense perfection.
• The setup was complete by 9:30 am and freshers were welcomed with a musical aura fuming out of auditorium. At sharp 10 am, the program officially began. Freshers were seated in the auditorium and were welcomed to our orientation by our opening hosts, PR Deputy head (Arnav Gupta), and Manandeep Singh (a hardworking member).
• After the introductory speech and vote of welcome, our esteemed Convener, Dr. Neeru Rathee Ma’am, addressed the audience by congratulating them for being a part of the MSI(T) programs. Ma’am introduced the E-Cell Faculty and their roles to the audience. Then she further led the stage by drawing the attention towards the society and explained the potential role our Entrepreneurship Cell can play in their lives and how it has transformed lives of its past members. • Then our President, Drishti Pandita, addressed the audience by enlightening them with the practical meaning, importance and examples of Entrepreneurial journeys. She then carried on to explain the benefits a societal participation provides to the students and how the events like E-Summit can maximize their exposure to the corporate world. Further she introduced the E-Cell heads to build up familiarity for future interaction. She also discussed about the annual major E-Cell events like Pitch-N-Banter, Entrepreneurise, and the flagship events: E-Summit and Envisage.
• The stage was then handed over to the EVM (Harshika Drall) and Publicity Heads (Aman Dhingra) to explain the roles, importance and working of all the departments.
• To relax and brighten the mood of the audience and vibe of the room, our Advisor, Aryan Mehta, led the stage by chatting with the audience and further hosted the annual musical ritual where audience participates by waving their mobile flashlights
• Then the EVM department hosted a game: Grand Atlas, ending with the maximum participation and enjoyment. Students had won Amazon Vouchers and CodingNinjas goodies as prizes.
• The event was then concluded with Neeru Ma’am generously expressing a final vote of thanks after having introduced and explained the role of E-Cell Faculty.

Conclusion:

Throughout the orientation, the auditorium was overcrowded by both capacity and joyfulness. An orientation is the most critical part of a society’s reputation and potential scope of expansion which, if done correctly, can lead to unimaginable achievements during the tenure. E-Cell MSIT realized this feature and performed outstandingly to make this a great success and the result was better than the best. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our MSIT Board, our Convener, and all the stakeholders along with the society members for their contribution towards this event. The Incubation Department of Ecell embarked on a remarkable journey to explore the world of “Brand Renaissance: A Rebranding Workshop”. The Workshop organised at the Masters' Union Campus, DLF Cyber Park, was conducted with great professionalism and care which provided the young entrepreneurs with an extraordinary and insightful experience on “Brand Renaissance”.

Highlights of the Session:

• The campus tour: The workshop began with getting the attendees accustomed to the campus to create a sense of familiarity and for the smooth functioning of the events that followed.
• Introduction to "Brand Renaissance": The first segment of the workshop began with the introduction of the speaker, Mr Akhil Chopra, Senior Creative Director at Schbang who introduced to everyone briefly about Rebranding and why it plays an important role in today's industry
• Why rebranding: He explained why rebranding was being implemented in today's market, like the repositioning of a brand/change in mission and vision of the brand or to contemporise and undust the brand in an attempt to adapt to the modern markets and newer customer base. Rebranding is also possible in the case of mergers or in the case of a new leadership as in the case of Burberry.
• How to Rebrand: It was further explained how the rebranding process is to start, that is to primarily understand the need and the purpose for the rebranding. The next step involves the required changes as accepted by the involved company which could include a change in the logo, the brand personality, digital architecture, typography etc. The first segment was then brought to a close for a lunch break.
• Problem analysis: In the next half, after the lunch, the attendees were instructed to form teams of 9 and given a problem statement to Rebrand patanjali. This segment tested the participants on their understanding of rebranding and its implementation and were instructed to present their solution within a 2hr time limit.
• The Result: After every team pitched in their solutions, the speaker Mr Akhil announced the results and our Incubation dept team emerged as the winner with one of the most creative and successful rebranding propagandas. The team members were then rewarded with Amazon gift vouchers as a show of appreciation to their brilliant solution to the problem.

Conclusion:

The workshop offered a transformative and insightful experience on "Brand Renaissance", equipping the involved with the knowledge and tools required to elevate their understanding on Rebranding. From the excellent program management to fun interactions, it provided it all. Priyam himself is an SDE and a Recruiter in Google California" and formerly worked at Microsoft. His Alma Mater includes NIT Durgapur and the prestigious University of California. The event was a great success with around nearly 100 members from Newark Research and E Cell MSIT and MSI-T audience, with the vibrant aim of fostering innovation among the students. The Speaker shared valuable tips and tricks to crack M.A.A.N.G (Meta, Amazon, Apple Netflix and Google) interviews and advised the attendees to have an Impeccable Academic Record and keep themselves updated with the latest technologies and skills

June 25, 2020 E-cell MSIT in collaboration with NSS MSI organized a webinar on depression among students and corporates and how tocope depression in real life. The webinar had 100+ attendees from over 8 various colleges. The speaker for the webinar was Ms. Suhasini Raina who is a mental health professional and completed her Masters from TISS, Bombay and is currently a researcher at AIIMS and runs an independent practice. She is a person full of wisdom and enlightened the students with her knowledge on the topic.

The webinar was a 3 hour live stream Which included a session where the attendees were asked to clear their doubts, and to give in their suggestions and reviews. This webinar was summed up with a discussion about steps to overcome this issue.E- cell MSIT felt a need for such an event to provide the students right guidance to lead a happy and cheerful live and to overcome the difficulties of modern day health problems with ease. The webinarbegan at 4:00 p.m and was concludedby 7:00 pm on the same day.

Talk-e-tive

24 July, 2020 On the month of June-July 2020, ECell MSIT started a creative talk show named, Talk(e)Tive, which focused on the encouragement and spreading awareness towards the leadership and entrepreneurship of the most activist amongst the generation. In the show, various entrepreneurs from around the world were collaborated as speakers and invited on the show which was moderated by the ECell Team. This series had awakened and enlightened a perspective to the whole team, the audience and provided us with greater concepts to look upon later. EPISODE 1

June 20, 2020 The journey of any student on the look-out for internships, starts with a massive load of enthusiasm and no idea, how to begin? In the first episode of Talk(e)tive, which engrossed over 623 viewers, curiously build-up a beginner's guide for internships, aided by our esteemed guide, Mr. Kushagra Tyagi. Kushagra leads us through his own early ordeal into the world of internships, that will resonate with anyone who's ever searched "internships near me" on google. But in order for one to fly, a person needs to have a clear sky, this being MSIT's complacent professors and management, who not only nudged but went out of their way to help Kushagra reach the heights he's at. Cumulating all his skill and experience Kushagra laid down his own startup "idea panda".

He talks talk about his youtube journey and productivity tips. It is an enriching experience to talk with someone who enlighten's the people with his life experiences and renders a support system to the ones yearning for the chances and inspiration.

Experience his inspiring journey from being a bullied child to becoming one of the youngest nominees for Padma Shri Award. He has won many prestigious awards for his work. His organisation is a leading member based network handholding various early stage startups. We witnessed his vibrant personality and his knowledge expertise.

July 22, 2020 As one of our previous host quoted, “MSITians should grab every opportunity and make big out of it”, We releases the final episode of Talk(e)Tive , with one of our OWN, Mr Abhishek Sansanwal, a GSOC’19 scholar from MSIT, who mentored thousands of students for tech & entrepreneurship skills. The founder and CEO of ‘VERVED’ and the creator of ‘Verved edprogram’. One of the top 50 tech leaders and the Most Influential Indian with a YouTube channel of 0.001 m+ subscribers. This broadcast covered around 178 viewers. The talk show had its finale on the 22nd July 2020, and affected all of us as a beneficiary movement, to which the hard-work of the whole crew was involved, and left the audience inspired and encouraged for further events organized by ECell MSIT.

Faculty Development Program--GST using Tally

June 8, 2020 Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. organized a Faculty Development Program that covered concepts of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its Business Applications using Tally. This FDP was brought and introduced to MSIT by eCell. The webinar had 350 attendees from over 8 various colleges.

It is a group company and an education initiative of Tally Solutions, the makers of the popular Tally software. It is the only entity authorised to issue certifications on Computerized Accounting and on Tally. It has been incorporated with a vision to enable businesses to manage their manpower requirements by offering simple and easy solutions to find suitable skilled resources for their businesses.

The webinar was constructed in a continuous set up to retain the maximum and foster the proficiency in the concepts of GST. In the beginning, fundamentals of GST and its practical was discussed, following indirect taxation revolution since our independence. It pondered the fact that GST is one tax, one nation, one market. Later on, the tax structure outlining taxes or goods subsumed/omitted under GST were clarified. Determination of GST (CGST, SGST, IGST) and the comparison of tax scenario under pre-GST and GST were explained after.

The Faculty Development Program was a 3 hour live stream conducted by Mr Bijay from Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. Which included a session where the attendees were asked to clear their doubts, and to give in their suggestions and reviews. This webinar was summed up with a discussion on the existing dealer registrations, conditions and composition schemes. eCell MSIT felt a need for such an event to provide the budding entrepreneurs a fair chance and opportunity to get to know the legal stuff which plays a significant role in entrepreneurship.

To get an edge over and an exposure to non-technical sector, eCell has successfully assessed the FDP- GST using Tally. The event was concluded at 1:00 pm on the same day.

Entrepreneurial 101 with Razi Abbas

We the Ecell MSIT collaborated with Razi Abbas, an esteemed entrepreneur, to share his own experience with us to help us gain some much needed perspective. Razi Abbas is the confounder of two startups Ideotic and First main. He has 7 years of industry experience with some big names like goldman sachs. The session began around 5:45 pm with about 50-55 participants and ended around 8pm. Mr. Razi enlightened us with his own experience by sharing his debacles giving us a realistic look into the world of entrepreneurship. He empathised with the hardship of starting a startup and helped us learn from his own experience. He addressed the new "normal" and told us about how he's contributing his bit to the society as an entrepreneur. Freebies were given to those who were interacting the most which made the session more engaging and fun.
